CHIP FM’s Battle of the Bands starting at 5 pm

• Local bands
• Hosted by Chantale Legault of CHIP FM and Charlie Kitts, winner of the 2010 Ottawa Country Hall of Fame
• Special show hosted by Chad the Tiger Bertrand to air on CHIP FM radio
• Up to $2,500 worth of prizes will be given to winning bands and a special draw for the public
• Prizes sponsored by SADC Pontiac, CHIP FM, Productions EMD and Mill Music of Renfrew

If you are a Pontiac entrepreneur and want to have a booth at the Local Entrepreneurs’ Fair at the Celebrate Entrepreneurship event, it is free for you to participate!

Just contact the SADC Pontiac by Friday, September 10 and provide us with the following information:

1. Name of the business and name(s) of its owner(s)
2. Contact information
3. Sector of activity
4. What you will offer at your booth (activities, items, services)

Please note that SADC Pontiac only provides a space (booth or tent) to display your products and services. Entrepreneurs must bring all other materials and items they need for their display.

Battle of the Bands

Battle of the Bands is an idea developed by Young Pontiac Entrepreneurs, organized by CHIP FM in partnership with SADC Pontiac as part of the Celebrate Entrepreneurship event..

This is an amazing opportunity for local bands who want more visibility!

IMPORTANT: The first 5 groups who return their registration form and meet all terms and conditions of registration will be the 5 groups who participate in the CHIP FM Battle of the Bands.  

Please note that the registration form must be brought to the reception desk of CHIP FM in person. CHIP FM office is located at 138 Rue Principale in Fort-Coulonge.

The deadline for registration is Friday, September 10, 2010.

PRIZES

1st prize: Approximate value of $1,500
30 hours of studio recording, compliments of SADC Pontiac and EMD Productions

2nd prize: Approximate value of $700
Electric guitar, amplifier and digital tuner, compliments of CHIP FM

3rd prize: Approximate value of $300
Micro Shure 58 with mic stand and cable, compliments of Mill Music in Renfrew

Participation is free. Bands who meet the following terms and conditions for registration will be selected according to the order in which their registration form is received:

1. Battle of the Bands is reserved for ages 16 and over.
2. Bands must have at least three members and cannot have recorded an album with a professional recording company.
3. At least one band member must be a Pontiac resident.
4. The band must submit the names and words of five songs of their choice. At least two of them must be the band’s original compositions.
5. The band must submit a bio and a band photo or individual photos of each band member.
